Training doesn't end after graduation

Once you begin a training program with Stay Good, you also have access to our overnight boarding, when space allows. We are a training facility first, not a traditional boarding facility, and our boarding space is intentionally very limited. We typically have only 3–4 spots available outside of the dogs currently in our Board & Train programs, so boarding is not something we can offer to everyone.

Because training is at the heart of what we do, boarding with us also means your dog's training is being maintained while they are here. We want to make sure the dogs staying with us continue to have consistency in their structure, communication, and expectations. For that reason, overnight boarding is reserved for active Stay Good clients. To continue using boarding, your dog should either be consistently participating in training with us or complete at least one training session once a month. This helps us make sure we are still familiar with your dog, their progress, and what they need from us.

Our boarding rates are also different from a traditional boarding facility because you are not simply paying for someone to house your dog. Your dog is staying with a small, family-operated training facility, where their training and structure are maintained throughout their stay. We are open and working year-round, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Day, so our existing clients can rely on us for training throughout the year.

Space is limited, and Board & Train dogs are always prioritized. Boarding availability is never guaranteed and is dependent on our training schedule and available space. For pricing, please email staygoodtraining@gmail.com

Our daycare is a little different from traditional dog daycare. We are a training facility first, so our priority is providing structured care that supports your dog's training, communication, and overall development.

Daycare is available to established, active Stay Good clients and is limited to full-day care Monday–Friday. Because space is limited and our training programs take priority, daycare availability depends on our schedule and the needs of the dogs currently in training.

While your dog is with us, we maintain the structure and expectations they have learned through their Stay Good program. Depending on the dog, the day may include structured play and enrichment, obedience work, walks, socialization, or simply practicing calm behavior around other dogs and distractions. As your dog's life changes, new questions, environments, or challenges may arise.  You may be preparing for a new baby, moving to a new home, introducing another pet, or just looking to fine-tune a few things. These additional, single private sessions are available whenever you need. Pricing for existing clients who have already completed at least 5 private lessons is $125 per session.

We also offer continued support for clients who want to maintain an active relationship with Stay Good. An active client is someone who continues to train with us consistently, with at least one private session once a month. This keeps us familiar with your dog, their progress, and their current needs, and allows us to continue maintaining the structure and training they've learned with us.

Maintaining active client status is also what allows your dog to remain eligible for our limited overnight boarding and daycare services. Because we are a training facility first, we want the dogs in our care to be dogs we actively know and work with. 

A tired dog isn't always a fulfilled dog. Sometimes the most rewarding work happens with their nose. Trailing gives dogs the opportunity to tap into one of their strongest natural instincts by following a human scent trail from start to finish. Rather than focusing on obedience, trailing encourages dogs to problem-solve, build confidence, and work independently while remaining connected to their handler.

Each session lasts approximately 60–90 minutes and is tailored to the individual dog and their experience level. Whether your dog is brand new to scent work or has previous trailing experience, every trail is designed to be engaging, mentally stimulating, and, most importantly, fun. For many dogs, trailing provides an incredible outlet for mental enrichment while strengthening the bond between dog and handler through purposeful teamwork.
